How to Use CBD to Level Up Your Wellness Routine

Whether you've been practicing a balanced lifestyle for a while, or only recently got that kick in the butt to start, you should know by now that wellness comes in many forms.  It's not necessarily just maintaining a heightened physical wellness routine.  And it's not necessarily just practicing the act of sleeping and waking up earlier, either.  Wellness is inherently a holistic activity, one that requires several different levels of practice to truly encourage ourselves to be the best possible.

If you're an expert in the field of holistic wellness, you're probably aware of how CBD plays a role.  In any well-rounded wellness routine, CBD can fit in perfectly!  Given the inherent properties present in cannabidiol, you could say that CBD can play well with whatever else you throw into that routine.  Whether it's physical wellness, eating better, sleeping easier, or even giving yourself the time and space to work out your inner demons, CBD's near-universal benefit can seriously level up your wellness game tenfold!  Read on to see how exactly CBD can help you achieve bigger and better things!

Existing as a long and crucial tool for quieting the mind and encouraging mindfulness, meditation dates back thousands of years.  Existing originally as an Eastern medicine, the Western medical community has only recently recognized its value for its effects on mood, cognition, and overall health.

Where does CBD fit into this?  A recent study found that over 60% of users rely on CBD for assisting in mental health regulation.  By having the cannabinoid interact with our endocannabinoid system's CB receptors, factors such as stress, mindfulness, and how our bodies respond to other external stimuli can be more or less regulated with better ease.

That's not to say that meditation is a see-all, end-all type of wellness activity.  If this is going to be the first time you meditate, it'll likely take a few tries to "get to that point" where quieting the mind can actually create a benefit for you.  Distractions such as: the loud neighbor, a barking dog, and even your own intrusive thoughts can hinder your progress.

Adding CBD into the mix, however, might just be the ticket to finally get both your body and mind into a state where you can get the most out of your meditation.  Consider eating a couple CBD Gummies or a dropper full of your favorite CBD Tincture flavor.

On top of that, consider adjusting your diet ever so slightly to accommodate foods that help to promote clarity, calm, and focus.  At the end of the day, you're looking to achieve just enough inner peace to level up your psychological wellness.

Similar to achieving a degree of peace through meditation, yoga also exists to help quiet both the body and the mind.  We don't need to tell you about the benefits of yoga.  Maybe you've never taken a class on how to do it, but we're sure you've heard all your friends and family rave about it.  Yoga is known to help improve your posture, flexibility, core strength, breathing, and even help you achieve a more restful sleep.

What you probably do not know, however, is that yoga is very much a workout in and of itself.  Just as much as lifting weights or engaging in a sport, a yoga session can lead to that all-too-familiar muscle soreness and cramping - both of which can suck if you don't know how to deal it.  Hence, this is precisely where CBD enters!

CBD is known to encourage your body to respond to physical discomfort better; especially when the cannabinoid is combined with several organic ingredients via a CBD topical.

Taking our CBD Muscle Recovery Cream is a perfect example!  250MG of CBD, organic aloe vera, meadowfoam seed oil, and menthol, just to name a few can seriously elevate the recovery process to your muscles.

And taking a CBD topical ointment isn't just relegated to physical activity.  Let's be real, moving your body for any reason is reason enough to make sure your recovery is sorted.  Being able to apply a lotion or cream can offer some serious cooling relief, allowing you to enjoy a yoga session without a tight, achy, and noisy muscles and joints killing your buzz!

While we did a more in-depth piece about leveraging CBD to achieve better sleep, it's still an important aspect on how you can use the cannabinoid to level up your sleep game.  After all, falling asleep and staying asleep are two of the most important hallmarks of achieving an elevated wellness game.  Think about it: let's say you start your day with meditation and end your day with yoga - you have two of the three main ways to increase your wellness locked down.  But if you don't achieve a well-rested sleep, none of it matters.  Poor sleep can lead to worse moods, a weakened immune system, the inability to think on your feet, poor diet choices, and more.

Here's the easy recommendation: No screens before bed, keep your circadian rhythm consistent, and limit your stimulants including but not limited to: alcohol and caffeine.

Here's the not-so-easy recommendation: Apply the CBD Sleep Essential Oil Roll-On 30 minutes before bed AND eat a couple CBD Gummies.  Cannabidiol contains inherent properties that help chill you out.  Before you know it, you'll feel tired enough to climb into bed and dose off.  We promise!

And just like that, there are three ways CBD can help you to level up your wellness routine.  If you haven't figured it out by now, CBD can be used as a supplementary addition to your existing routine.  To recap how exactly CBD can be used:

  • CBD Topicals contain functional ingredients such as aloe vera, menthol, and more.  These organic ingredients combined with CBD can help to spot-treat localized discomfort.  Simply apply a generous amount to the affected area and you're good to go!
  • CBD Ingestibles such as Gummies and Capsules take a little longer for its effects to be felt.  They do, however, last significantly longer.  Considering eating these prior to bed or right when you wake up so you have long and consistent coverage throughout the day.

At the end of the day, achieving a better you comes down to practice, consistency, and knowing what to look for.  Balance is, after all, the goal - and this balance is attainable with enough practice!  Good luck out there!
