Heads up everyone, America turns 246 this coming Monday and while we do write a little something about the holiday every year, this time, we're going to shake it up a bit! Relative to the other holidays we celebrate, our nation's Independence Day is one of the "cooler" holidays where clothing is optional and explosives (in the sky) are mandatory! So while this guide will still touch upon how to stay cool and calm for everyone in the family, it'll also be a best tips guide to help you enjoy the festivities even more! So without further ado, let's jump right in!
Relative to the other holidays, the 4th of July is very much a daytime holiday. Thanksgiving is usually a dinner, Christmas Eve is at night, Christmas Day is just the continuation of Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve, well...that usually starts at around 10-11pm. So really, Independence DAY is a daytime ordeal. Nevertheless, there is a way to be part of the day-long celebrations without feeling as if you overdid it come the next day. And it's a lot more simple than you think.
And no, we're not going to tell you to ditch the beers and alcohol. There is a way to still take full advantage of nearly the entire country partying around while still protecting your health by leveraging the wonders CBD holds.
Or should we say the Monday Scaries? For those that will partake in a copious amount of alcohol this coming weekend, one way to help lessen the pain that is being hungover is to add a few drops of a CBD Tincture Oil to the drink.
Let's be real - when was the last time you enjoyed a 4th of July party and it wasn't hot as hell outside? When the temperature goes up, chances are you'll be reaching for your 17th can of beer. So to mitigate against the inevitable hangover that'll catch you slippin' by the end of the night, a few drops added to your beverage can actually help you keep your wits about!
Fun fact, CBD does wonders in maintaining homeostasis. This means that when you drink alcohol, which is a diuretic, your body becomes severely dehydrated. So by consuming a generous helping of CBD, you are encouraging your body to respond to that dehydration better.
While it won't necessarily make you any more-or-less dehydrated, CBD helps to modulate the bodily response to a perceived threat. Should you find yourself shotgunning that next can of beer or White Claw, chances are that your body will start yelling at you to reach for something a little more hydrating! After the whole point is to celebrate all day, right?
Remember how mentioned that it'll likely be hot for the holiday weekend? Well, ditch the sunscreen and opt for a more natural option! See, sunscreen isn't exactly the best protection against the Sun's UV rays. Not only is it linked to skin cancer but it's not a good look for something that goes on your skin to contain chemicals that you don't even know how to pronounce. Instead, choose something that helps beyond sun protection.
Our CBD Aloe Vera is an easy-to-use topical ointment that contains aloe vera (obviously) witch hazel water, and a generous 300MG of Broad Spectrum CBD. All of which together not only offers ample protection against the Sun's UVA and UVB rays, but also provides some serious hydration for what will literally be one of the hottest days of the year.
Last but certainly not least, the 4th of July is a holiday where fireworks exploding in the sky is a very normal occurrence. Well, it's normal for humans, definitely not dogs or other pets. Keeping your pets calm and collected from about sunset to sunrise is an important aspect should you have any shred of care for your extended four-legged family members living at home.
Not only is it a good idea to walk them early, one to relieve themselves for the long night ahead and two, to get them tired enough to just sleep through it all, the next great idea is to feed them a generous helping of CBD. Between a few drops of the CBD Pet Tincture in their food and a few CBD Dog Treats because they're all good boy's having your pets on CBD is a surefire way to help them keep their cool as explosions are going off in the sky! Your pets and your sanity will thank you later!
Whether you're celebrating Independence Day festivities at home or out at an event, one thing is certain: nearly EVERYONE will be out celebrating. Please take the time to not only have a great time, but to stay safe in the process. It's very easy to overdo it. Happy Independence Day everyone!
