Introducing a revolutionized holistic lifestyle through Full Spectrum CBD.
You all know the saying: Suns Out. Guns Out. (or Buns Out!). This tried-and-true statement means one thing: LET'S HAVE A DAY OF FUN IN THE SUN! Whether these activities consist of a day at the beach, a pool party, a mid-day stroll, or really any time outdoors, more-than-likely, your skin remains exposed to the elements, most notably, the SUN!
A new product for us altogether, we’re happy to announce our latest product innovation that perfectly pairs aloe vera with CBD, or cannabidiol. We’re always trying to add new, innovative ideas to our range of CBD products, and we’re confident we’ve found a new favorite for many in our community with this one.
Thin, but absorbent, and easy to apply, our CBD Aloe Vera instantly cools the skin when it’s massaged in. The soothing, calming touch just reinforces what CBD topicals already do, magnifying its effects tenfold.
Aloe Vera has long since been bragged on as a medicinal plant with a plethora of remarkable healing properties. By adding CBD, which is growing massively in popularity, we give it new properties and better uses beyond its typical capabilities.
In 2008, researchers published a short review of Aloe Vera in the Indian Journal of Dermatology. Beyond a breakdown of the plant itself as well as its history, they reviewed the anatomy of the Aloe Vera plant, its active components, and its potential properties and benefits from there.
Out of the many compounds found within Aloe Vera plants, they contain antioxidants like vitamins A, C, and E, as well as B12, choline, and folic acid. They also contain enzymes that help reduce excessive inflammation whenever applied topically to the skin. Other enzymes found within the plant help breakdown fats and sugars.
Aloe Vera extracts contain components with powerful antioxidant properties. Some of these components are polyphenols, a large family of substances that could help inhibit bacteria that causes infections in humans. Altogether, the antioxidant compounds found within Aloe Vera benefit the body in a variety of ways, including by helping to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.
Finally, other components like fatty acids, hormones, and more help further with anti-inflammatory action, as well as possessing analgesic, antiseptic, antibacterial, and cleansing properties. Overall, it seems the aloe vera plant is a nutrient-rich haven for topical products.
Zinc, sodium, potassium, manganese, magnesium, selenium, copper, chromium, and calcium are all minerals found within the Aloe Vera plant. Essential for the proper functioning of various enzyme systems within our metabolic pathways, that means the plant is rich in necessary nutrients for us.
Aloe Vera gels and other topical products have been reported to provide a protective effect against sun radiation damage to the skin. While the exact role is unknown, application of an Aloe Vera topical has been shown to produce an antioxidant protein in the skin. This helps heal sun damage and mitigate further exposure through consistent and routine application of an Aloe Vera product.
As Aloe Vera creams and other topicals typically have a calming effect on the skin, they can help quite a deal for those with acne or psoriasis, among other skin conditions. Aloe Vera’s been shown to help reduce inflammation and itchiness in the skin. Its nourishing properties may help keep symptoms for various skin conditions at bay with consistent use.
While the evidence is in its preliminary stages right now, it seems certain Aloe Vera products could help slow the aging of the skin. It would make sense, with aloe Vera’s knack for hydrating and ridding the body of inflammation.
In a study of 30 women that was aged 45 or older, topical application of Aloe Vera was shown to improve skin elasticity and increase collagen production. This was monitored over a 90-day period, and the results were promising enough to inspire us forward.
A separate study found Aloe Vera has the potential to reduce erythema, or redness of the skin. However, it may dehydrate skin cells, as was observed in the study, so we don’t have all the answers just yet. We do know Aloe Vera has long-term lock-in moisturizing effects on the human skin.
Given the fact that Aloe Vera is a very beginner-friendly plant; and serves as an excellent plant to introduce to your garden due to its ability to produce smaller plants that are ideal for propagation, you can always opt to grow it yourself! Our friends over atHappy DIY Home have an excellent, comprehensive guide to do just that.
In as little as 4 months, you can have a garden FULL of Aloe Vera plants to harvest as you see fit. In case you're not willing to tend to plants, you can always look to purchasing ready-made aloe vera and even some with CBD in it!
And then, there’s our powerful Full Spectrum CBD extract. It’s free of THC but chockful of CBD, minor cannabinoids, and other valuable hemp compounds that make it so effective. We don’t want to give you a full breakdown on CBD’s benefits again, as we’ve mentioned that in prior blogs.
As a quick summary, CBD is used in many topicals to reportedly reduce inflammation and certain types of pain, provide a calming sensation, and much more. Much like what aloe vera has to offer, CBD has the potential to offer the same. Many CBD formulas are rich in antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. Combined with CBD, these compounds help to nourish, relieve, calm, and protect the skin.
Knowing that aloe vera and CBD have benefits in common with each other, it’s not a jump to think that a product infused with both compounds could amplify the benefits they both provide. If CBD and aloe vera can do some of the same thing, a topical product that utilizes each will help magnify the properties of both.
Envy CBD's Aloe Vera is designed to soothe the skin after exposure from the Sun. Ideal for any skin types, our CBD Aloe Vera formula helps sooth redness and itching, helps protect the skin, and soften or moisturize it. While it’s especially effective for calming redness caused by the cold and after-sun exposure, it can be used for more than that.
The anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve skin and muscle pain help amplify the ingredients that are already there. Aloe Vera and CBD work hard in tangent to take on the inflammation, lock in moisture, protect and heal damaged skin, and so much more. Our formula was specifically designed to help the skin absorb the product quickly, delivering immediate, cooling relief.
When we infused our tried-and-true CBD extract into an Aloe Vera topical product, we knew we were onto something big. Now, we bring you CBD Aloe Vera – an all-new topical product that’s level above anything you’ve tried yet.
